Looking for engaging and informative lesson plans to use with local community programs/educators? Look no further than the PCA Library’s K-12 Lesson Plans Library Research Guide. This new library guide provides access to lesson plans on the properties and uses of cement, concrete and other construction materials, covering subjects such as earth science, material science, and engineering.

  • For elementary students (K-4), the guide features selected interactive lessons like "Earth Rocks!" and "Engineering for the Three Little Pigs," which introduce basic concepts about rocks, soils, minerals, and their importance in construction.
  • Middle and high school educators (grades 5-12) will find a variety of PCA-developed lesson plans, including those focused on the uses and composition of concrete, pervious pavement and strength of materials. These lessons incorporate hands-on activities, experiments, and key vocabulary to facilitate learning.
  • Want more? Find additional lesson plan resources through one of the shared lesson resource links listed at the end of the guide.
